The Social Welfare Study Program of FISIP USU hosted a PKM Mentoring Session titled "Proposal Review" at the FISIP USU Hall on October 26, 2026. The event featured Prof. Andi Dian Permana from Hasanuddin University, Makassar, as the keynote speaker to guide students through competitive Student Creativity Program proposals.

The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Universitas Sumatera Utara celebrated the opening of its 46th Anniversary, hosted by the Political Science Study Program as the organizing committee. Attended directly by the Rector of USU, this event served as a momentum to reinforce FISIP USU's commitment to advancing social and political sciences through a series of academic agendas and scientific speeches.

The USU Community Service Team implemented packaging technologies (can seamer, mini retort sterilizer, and vacuum sealer) and provided digital marketing assistance for Rendang Kerang Menterang, a product developed by the Indonesian Coastal Women’s Association (KPPI) of Batu Bara Regency.

The Undergraduate Program in Social Anthropology, FISIP USU, in collaboration with ERC USU, successfully held a hybrid Visiting Lecture with filmmakers from Switzerland and Germany. The activity aimed to strengthen academic insights and develop visual ethnographic research methods for the academic community.

The Undergraduate Program in Political Science, FISIP USU, successfully held a workshop to strengthen the capacity of lecturers and students in implementing MOOC-based courses. The activity was attended by faculty leaders and lecturers of FISIP USU to accelerate digital learning innovation on campus.
