WALHI North Sumatra and FISIP USU have officially established a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to strengthen advocacy for energy transition and climate justice. The collaboration is followed by participatory action research and data-based writing training to strengthen the capacity of civil society in North Sumatra.

This coordination meeting focused on aligning strategies for asset management, effective budget allocation, and human resources capacity development within FISIP USU. Through this coordination, it is expected that all operational governance and academic facilities can be managed in an integrated, transparent, and accountable manner to support the provision of optimal educational services.

Ira Nurhidayah, a Sociology student at FISIP USU, successfully won 1st Place in Speed Kick and 2nd Place in Women’s Senior Fin Class Kyorugi at the 9th Gewinn Malaysia Open Taekwondo Championship 2026. This outstanding achievement demonstrates the exceptional quality and determination of FISIP USU’s young athlete in bringing pride to her alma mater and Indonesia on the international stage.
