Strategic Synergy between WALHI North Sumatra and FISIP USU: Strengthening Data-Based Advocacy for Energy Transition and Climate Justice WALHI North Sumatra and FISIP USU have officially established a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to strengthen advocacy for energy transition and climate justice. The collaboration is followed by participatory action research and data-based writing training to strengthen the capacity of civil society in North Sumatra. 17 September 2026

Harmonizing Asset, Financial, and Human Resources Management at FISIP USU This coordination meeting focused on aligning strategies for asset management, effective budget allocation, and human resources capacity development within FISIP USU. Through this coordination, it is expected that all operational governance and academic facilities can be managed in an integrated, transparent, and accountable manner to support the provision of optimal educational services. 15 September 2026

Outstanding Performance at the National Level, Ira Nurhidayah Wins 3rd Place at Taekwondo Championship 2026 This Sociology student successfully won a bronze medal in the Women’s Senior Kyorugi Under 46 kg category at a national-level championship held from June 25–28, 2026. This outstanding achievement reflects the commitment and competitiveness of Universitas Sumatera Utara’s young athlete in national sporting events. 10 September 2026

Wins Two Medals, Ira Nurhidayah, FISIP USU Sociology Student, Brings Pride to Indonesia at International Taekwondo Championship Ira Nurhidayah, a Sociology student at FISIP USU, successfully won 1st Place in Speed Kick and 2nd Place in Women’s Senior Fin Class Kyorugi at the 9th Gewinn Malaysia Open Taekwondo Championship 2026. This outstanding achievement demonstrates the exceptional quality and determination of FISIP USU’s young athlete in bringing pride to her alma mater and Indonesia on the international stage. 10 September 2026

Annisa Putri Arneliani, Business Administration Student at FISIP USU, Wins Tennis Title at IMT-GT 2026 This Business Administration student delivered a dominant performance and brought pride to her alma mater on the international stage. Annisa successfully won first place in the Mixed Doubles category at the prestigious 2026 IMT-GT Varsity Council event. 10 September 2026
