The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FISIP USU), has once again achieved an outstanding accomplishment on the international stage through the achievement of one of its students. Ira Nurhidayah, a student of the Sociology Program, won 3rd Place in the Women’s Kyorugi Under -46 kg category at the Ksatria Nusantara Series Championship, held from April 17 to 19, 2026. The international-scale competition was attended by talented athletes from various regions and countries, making this achievement a testament to the quality and competitiveness of FISIP USU students in Taekwondo.

Ira Nurhidayah’s remarkable achievement not only brings pride to her study program and faculty but also serves as motivation for the entire USU academic community to continue developing non-academic talents at the global level. The FISIP USU Dean’s Office expressed its highest appreciation for Ira’s dedication and hard work throughout her preparation and the competition. This achievement is expected to inspire more students to step forward, compete, and achieve outstanding accomplishments on the international stage.
