The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara, has once again achieved an outstanding accomplishment at the national level through the remarkable performance of one of its students. Ira Nurhidayah, a student of the Sociology Program, successfully won 3rd Place in the Women’s Senior Kyorugi Under 46 kg category at the Taekwondo Championship 2026, held from June 25 to 28, 2026. This prestigious championship brought together top athletes from across Indonesia, making Ira’s achievement on the podium a testament to the strength and competitiveness of USU’s young athletes.

Ira Nurhidayah’s achievement not only brings pride to the Sociology Program but also brings recognition to FISIP and Universitas Sumatera Utara in the national sporting arena. FISIP USU expressed its highest appreciation for the hard work, discipline, and determination demonstrated throughout the training period and competition. This positive achievement is expected to further inspire FISIP USU students to explore their potential and pursue their best accomplishments in both academic and non-academic fields.
