Ira Nurhidayah, a student of the Sociology Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FISIP USU), has achieved an outstanding accomplishment at the international level. Competing with confidence at the 9th Gewinn Malaysia Open Taekwondo Championship 2026, this talented young athlete demonstrated her abilities by winning 1st Place (Gold Medal) in the Women’s Senior Speed Kick category. Her speed, kicking accuracy, and high level of focus were key to her dominant performance and success over her competitors.
Not only did she excel in the Speed Kick category, Ira Nurhidayah also demonstrated strong determination and consistent performance in the combat event. She won 2nd Place (Silver Medal) in the Women’s Senior Fin Class Kyorugi category, completing her achievement with two awards. Ira’s outstanding accomplishment is a testament to her dedication and hard work, while further highlighting the achievements of this FISIP USU Sociology student in bringing pride to her alma mater and Indonesia on the international sporting stage.
