Strengthening Institutional Networks, Master's Program in Public Administration FISIP USU Holds Academic Forum with FIA UI The Master's Program in Public Administration of FISIP USU held an academic forum, governance benchmarking, and academic collaboration discussion with the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FIA UI) in Depok on July 28–30, 2026. The meeting focused on strengthening the OBE-based curriculum, quality assurance, and cooperation in the Three Pillars of Higher Education. 21 September 2026

Undergraduate Program in Business Administration of FISIP USU Holds International Summer Course 2026, Bringing North Sumatra's Local Potential to the Global Stage The Undergraduate Program in Business Administration of FISIP USU successfully held the International Summer Course 2026 with the theme of entrepreneurship based on the local potential of North Sumatra on September 7–12, 2026. The activity, which involved participants and experts from various countries, combined academic learning with field visits to Medan, Simalungun, and Samosir to strengthen campus internationalization and encourage sustainable business innovation. 17 September 2026

Strategic Synergy between WALHI North Sumatra and FISIP USU: Strengthening Data-Based Advocacy for Energy Transition and Climate Justice WALHI North Sumatra and FISIP USU have officially established a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to strengthen advocacy for energy transition and climate justice. The collaboration is followed by participatory action research and data-based writing training to strengthen the capacity of civil society in North Sumatra. 17 September 2026

Harmonizing Asset, Financial, and Human Resources Management at FISIP USU This coordination meeting focused on aligning strategies for asset management, effective budget allocation, and human resources capacity development within FISIP USU. Through this coordination, it is expected that all operational governance and academic facilities can be managed in an integrated, transparent, and accountable manner to support the provision of optimal educational services. 15 September 2026

Outstanding Performance at the National Level, Ira Nurhidayah Wins 3rd Place at Taekwondo Championship 2026 This Sociology student successfully won a bronze medal in the Women’s Senior Kyorugi Under 46 kg category at a national-level championship held from June 25–28, 2026. This outstanding achievement reflects the commitment and competitiveness of Universitas Sumatera Utara’s young athlete in national sporting events. 10 September 2026

Ira Nurhidayah Brings Pride to FISIP USU, Wins Bronze Medal at 2026 International Taekwondo Championship This Sociology student successfully won a bronze medal in the Women’s Kyorugi Under -46 kg category at an international competition held from April 17–19, 2026. This outstanding achievement reflects the commitment and global competitiveness of the academic community of Universitas Sumatera Utara. 10 September 2026

Wins Two Medals, Ira Nurhidayah, FISIP USU Sociology Student, Brings Pride to Indonesia at International Taekwondo Championship Ira Nurhidayah, a Sociology student at FISIP USU, successfully won 1st Place in Speed Kick and 2nd Place in Women’s Senior Fin Class Kyorugi at the 9th Gewinn Malaysia Open Taekwondo Championship 2026. This outstanding achievement demonstrates the exceptional quality and determination of FISIP USU’s young athlete in bringing pride to her alma mater and Indonesia on the international stage. 10 September 2026

Annisa Putri Arneliani, Business Administration Student at FISIP USU, Wins Tennis Title at IMT-GT 2026 This Business Administration student delivered a dominant performance and brought pride to her alma mater on the international stage. Annisa successfully won first place in the Mixed Doubles category at the prestigious 2026 IMT-GT Varsity Council event. 10 September 2026
