The Academic Forum on Academic Consultation, Benchmarking, and Academic Collaboration Development was held as part of the efforts of the Master's Program in Public Administration of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FISIP USU), to strengthen academic networks and develop institutional cooperation with the Master's Program in Public Policy and Governance of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FIA UI). The activity was held on July 28–30, 2026, at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Indonesia, Depok.
The activity was important for obtaining and exchanging best practices regarding study program governance, Outcome-Based Education (OBE)-based curriculum development, academic quality assurance, accreditation management, strengthening the Three Pillars of Higher Education, research and scientific publications, community service, internationalization, as well as the development of academic networks and collaboration. The forum also served as a space to identify opportunities for cooperation that could be followed up sustainably.
The meeting resulted in several agreements on action plans to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions on an ongoing basis. Potential areas of cooperation explored included guest lecturer programs, joint seminars and conferences, student thesis supervision collaboration, academic exchanges, and the adoption of good governance practices to enhance the competitiveness and academic capacity of FISIP USU.
