The Academic Collaboration Discussion Forum between the Master's Program in Public Administration (MIAP/MAP) of Universitas Gadjah Mada and the Master's Program in Public Administration of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara, was held as part of efforts to strengthen the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education and improve the quality of education, research, community service, and study program governance.
The activity was held because both study programs sought to strengthen institutional relations, share experiences and best practices, expand academic networks, and formulate forms of cooperation that could be implemented sustainably. The forum covered study program governance, implementation of an Outcome-Based Education (OBE)-based curriculum, innovative learning, digital transformation in education, internal quality assurance systems, strategies for improving national and international accreditation, research, publications, community service, and human resource development.
As a concrete step toward continued cooperation, the forum resulted in an agreed action plan and an exploration of the preparation of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between FISIP USU and FISIPOL UGM. Future cooperation will focus on lecturer exchange programs, guest lecturer programs, student thesis supervision collaboration, joint seminars, as well as support for the digital transformation of public administration and bureaucratic reform.
