The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara, received a courtesy visit from the Head of the Political Section of the U.S. Embassy, accompanied by representatives of the U.S. Consulate. This diplomatic visit served as a strategic opportunity to strengthen relations and explore various opportunities for academic cooperation between institutions. The series of activities began with an official meeting to discuss potential strategic partnerships, followed by a brief campus tour and an interactive discussion with the faculty leadership.
As the highlight of the agenda, the Head of the Political Section of the U.S. Embassy delivered a general lecture before lecturers and students of FISIP USU. In the presentation, the speaker discussed various global political issues, the dynamics of bilateral relations, and the importance of higher education institutions in supporting cross-cultural understanding. Participants showed high enthusiasm throughout the discussion session, reaffirming FISIP USU's commitment to continuously expanding international networks and providing its students with critical and competitive global perspectives.
