Ir. Syahroni Tua Harahap, MM, was inaugurated as Chairperson of the IKA USU Riau Region for the 2026–2030 period. Meanwhile, Wisnu Handana, STP, was entrusted with the role of Secretary, together with the other members of the management. The inauguration carried the theme “Synergy among USU Alumni in Riau, Making Meaningful Contributions to the Nation.”

The inauguration was attended by the Chairperson of the Central IKA USU, Dr. KH. Romo R. Muhammad Syafi’i, S.H., M.Hum. Also attending the major event were Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs of USU, Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt.; the Vice Dean for Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs of FISIP USU, Dr. Agus Suriadi, S.Sos., M.Si.; and Dean of the Faculty of Law USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum.

In his remarks, Romo Syafi’i expressed his appreciation to the new management of the IKA USU Riau Region and supported the vision of the management under the leadership of Syahroni Tua Harahap.

“Concerning the government, IKA USU should not take a confrontational stance but rather a collaborative one,” said Romo Syafi’i.

He hoped that the IKA USU Riau Region management for the 2026–2030 period would be able to strengthen togetherness among alumni and increase the contributions of USU alumni in various fields. Romo Syafi’i also conveyed his congratulations to all newly inaugurated members of the management.

“Once again, congratulations on the inauguration. This is for the advancement of IKA USU. IKA USU Jaya!!” he concluded.
