The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held its first morning assembly with the newly appointed Heads of Study Programs. The event, conducted in the FISIP USU courtyard, was attended by the faculty's leadership, academic staff, and administrative personnel. This first assembly marked the beginning of a new phase of collaboration and institutional synergy following the renewal of leadership at the study program level.

Following the morning assembly, the agenda continued with a special meeting in the FISIP USU Hall. The session focused on introducing the Dean's Office Priority Programs to the newly appointed Heads of Study Programs.
During the presentation, the Dean's Office highlighted several strategic priorities that will guide the faculty's development in the coming years, including:
- Developing High-Quality Talent: Enhancing the overall efficiency of higher education outcomes.
- Innovation and Global Recognition: Increasing international publications and strengthening participation in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings through Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)-related activities.
- Institutional Excellence: Achieving key institutional performance indicators, including the development of Integrity Zones toward Corruption-Free (WBK) and Clean and Serving Bureaucracy (WBBM) status, while strengthening efforts to prevent violence, drug abuse, and corruption.
Through this meeting, FISIP USU reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening coordination between the Dean's Office and study program leadership in implementing strategic initiatives. The newly appointed Heads of Study Programs are expected to play an active role in improving academic quality, advancing research and community engagement, expanding national and international collaborations, and supporting the faculty's vision of becoming a globally competitive institution.
