On Monday, March 6, 2023, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a welcome ceremony for USU Rector, Professor Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si. This event was organized as a gesture of gratitude and celebration for the Rector's recent appointment as a Professor. The ceremony took place at Café Temu Tengah and was attended by alumni, faculty members, and students of FISIP USU.
The event began with the Rector and his wife riding a horse-drawn carriage from the official residence to the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. The Rector was greeted by rows of students and a welcoming traditional dance performance. The ceremony continued with opening remarks from the Dean of FISIP USU, Dr. Hatta Ridho, S.Sos., MSP, and a representative from the Faculty Advisory Board.
In his speech, the Dean of FISIP USU expressed his gratitude for the Rector's achievement and encouraged other faculty members to follow in his footsteps. "May this achievement motivate other lecturers to strive for the same success," said the Dean of FISIP USU.
The event concluded with a group photo session and a communal meal, marking a moment of togetherness and appreciation for this outstanding academic accomplishment.
