Tuesday, May 14, 2024, the National Defense Institute of the Republic of Indonesia (LEMHANNAS RI) visited the Universitas Sumatera Utara in the framework of the Domestic Strategic Study (SSDN) Regular Education Program Batch (PPRA) LXVI. The LEMHANNAS RI team was welcomed by Vice Rector I, Dr. Edy Ikhsan, S.H., M.A., who also gave a speech in this activity. In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor I hoped that this visit would be a medium for discussion, which would later create good cooperation for the country's progress.

The Chief of the LEMHANNAS RI delegation, Inspector General. Drs. Djoko Poerbohadijojo, M.Si, also gave a speech. “It is hoped that this visit can improve the leadership quality of the participants to realize reliable and professional leaders,” he explained.

The Dean of FISIP USU, Dr. Hatta Ridho, S.Sos., MSP, who was also the resource person for this activity, was also present. In his presentation, the Dean said that higher education can help improve national resilience through aspects of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
