Dr. Geoff Kushnick, Senior Lecturer of Biological Anthropology at Australian National University, gave a public lecture on Research Experience in Indonesia. He shared his experiences during his research in Tanah Karo, North Sumatra, from 2004 until now. His interest in Karo customs and culture has given birth to several studies, such as social protection in Karo society, the phenomenon of Karo women who are pregnant and give birth during the eruption of Mount Sinabung, and others. This activity was held in the Theater Room of FISIP USU on Monday (04/03/2024).
This activity was attended and opened by the Dean of FISIP USU, Dr. Hatta Ridho, S.Sos., MSP, Head of the Social Anthropology Study Program of FISIP USU Dr. Drs. Irfan, M.Si., Lecturers and Students of the Social Anthropology Study Program, and several students. This activity was a form of readiness for the Social Anthropology Study Program to realize the World Class University (WCU) program and increase the value of the Main Performance Indicators of Higher Education.
