Thursday, May 2, 2024, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Political Science of the Universitas Sumatera Utara held a Halalbihalal and Thanksgiving event for the election of several FISIP USU Alumni and Students as members of the DPR RI, DPD RI, Provincial DPRD, and City / Regency DPRD. The event, which took place in the Multipurpose Hall of FISIP USU, was attended by the Vice Chancellor II of USU, the Dean of FISIP USU, the Head of the Study Program in FISIP USU, and Education Personnel of FISIP USU.
The Alumni and Students who were elected as representatives of the people and attended this activity were Musa Rajekshah (DPR RI), Sugiat Santoso (DPR RI), Dedi Iskandar Batubara (DPD RI), and Hj. Anita Lubis (DPRD SUMUT), Palacheta Subies Subianto (DPRD SUMUT), M Ziad Ananta (DPRD SUMUT), Dedi Noval Pasaribu (DPRD SUMUT), Safaruddin (DPRK Aceh), Afri Rizki Lubis (DPRD Medan), Hari Ananda (DPRD Serdang Bedagai) and Mansur Ginting (DPRD Karo).
In opening the event, Vice Chancellor II, Dr. Muhammad Arifin Nasution S.Sos., M.SP, said that alumni and students elected as representatives of the people could maintain their responsibilities and remain trustworthy. The Dean of FISIP USU, Dr. Hatta Ridho, S.Sos., MSP also said in his speech to continue to work together and support each other for the good of society.
