Angela Rotua Lumban Batu (Student ID: 240906069), a student of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), has achieved an outstanding international sporting accomplishment. Angela won two gold medals in the Women’s Senior Kyorugi U-62 kg and Speed Kick categories at the 9th Heroes Taekwondo International Championship 2026. Her remarkable achievement has brought great pride not only to the academic community of Universitas Sumatera Utara but also to Indonesia on the international sporting stage.

Angela’s success demonstrates the results of dedication, discipline, and hard work. The Directorate of Student Affairs and Alumni (Ditmawalumni) of USU also expressed its highest appreciation for her achievement, which reflects the spirit of “Achieving Students, Successful Alumni.” This international accomplishment is expected to inspire and motivate other USU students to continue developing their talents, competing at the highest level, and pursuing excellence on the global stage.
