The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FISIP USU), successfully held a Socialization Session on the Recognition of Learning Outside the Study Program (PLPS) on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. Held at FISIP USU, the event featured the Director, Secretary, and Curriculum Manager of the Directorate of Educational Development as the main speakers. The session was attended by Heads and Secretaries of Study Programs, as well as lecturers who were enthusiastic about gaining a better understanding of the mechanisms for academically recognizing various learning activities undertaken outside their respective study programs.

The activity aimed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding and clear technical guidance regarding the procedures and processes for submitting PLPS recognition applications.

The event concluded with an interactive discussion session, providing participants with an opportunity to consult directly with the speakers regarding various technical challenges encountered in the recognition process. Through this activity, FISIP USU seeks to strengthen understanding and ensure the effective implementation of PLPS recognition within its study programs.
