The Doctoral Program (Ph.D.) in Development Studies at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FISIP USU), underwent a Site Assessment conducted by the Independent Accreditation Agency for Social Sciences, Political Sciences, Public Administration, and Communication (LAMSPAK).

The assessment was carried out by two LAMSPAK assessors: Prof. Dr. R. Nunung Nurwati, M.S. from Universitas Padjadjaran and Prof. Dr. Wahyudi, M.Si. from Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang.

The event was officially opened by the Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, M.Si. It was also attended by the FISIP USU leadership, the Head and Secretary of the Doctoral Program in Development Studies, representatives from the USU Quality Assurance Office, the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM USU), the USU Library, faculty members, administrative staff, students, alumni, and graduate employers.

The site assessment included discussions and an in-depth review of the program's self-evaluation report, as well as interviews with faculty members, administrative staff, alumni, and graduate employers as part of the verification and evaluation process of the Doctoral Program in Development Studies.

The assessment concluded with the handover of the Site Assessment Report to the Dean of FISIP USU, Dr. Hatta Ridho, M.S.P., and the Head of the Doctoral Program in Development Studies, Dr. Husni Thamrin, S.Sos., M.S.P.

FISIP USU hopes this accreditation process will yield the best possible outcome for the Doctoral Program in Development Studies, further strengthening its commitment to academic excellence, quality, and global competitiveness.
