The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FISIP USU), in collaboration with PT Pegadaian (Persero) Simpang Limun Branch, successfully held a Financial Education and Literacy activity at the FISIP USU Multipurpose Hall. Titled “Financial Literacy: Smart Investment for the EMAS Generation,” the activity was designed to equip students with practical financial insights and a strategic understanding of the importance of investing from an early stage in the modern economic era.
The educational event was attended directly by the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Internationalization of FISIP USU, Moulita, S.Sos., M.Si., along with her team. Also present to lead the presentation was the Head of PT Pegadaian (Persero) Simpang Limun Branch, Risa Novita Sitorus. The presence of leaders from both parties reaffirmed their shared commitment to bridging the academic world with the financial services industry in order to develop a younger generation that is increasingly financially literate.
Through this collaborative activity, participants received in-depth education on personal financial management as well as an introduction to safe and trusted gold investment instruments. In addition to having a positive impact on improving the financial literacy index within the campus environment, this agenda also served as an important momentum to strengthen the strategic partnership between FISIP USU and PT Pegadaian in supporting the creation of sustainable financial inclusion for students.
