The Faculty of Social Science and Political Science of the Universitas Sumatera Utara held an Alumni Gathering Employer Reputation on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the Grand Whiz Points Simatupang Hotel, Jakarta. This activity was attended by the Dean, Chairperson, Secretary and Head of the Study Program Lab, Dean's Expert Staff, and Alumni from Study Programs within the Faculty of Social Sciences and Political Science, Universitas Sumatera Utara.
Alums Gathering Employer Reputation is a program where alums gather and stay in touch to prepare for USU Back Home so that alums can care more about returning to campus. The alums do not need to hesitate to return to campus. They are expected to care about the development of USU because the increase in the ranking of the Universitas Sumatera Utara and the improvement of international standard education services can be realized through cooperation between the academic community, students, and USU alums. This Alumni Gathering activity aligns with the achievement of USU's vision and mission of achieving World Class University. For this reason, the active role of alumni is highly expected in achieving university internationalization.
This activity was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Dr. Hatta Ridho, S.Sos., MSP, and continued with the presentation of Equity / Employer Peer material by the Vice Dean III, Dr. Harmona Daulay, S.Sos., M.Si. A dynamic discussion session was also held to allow alums to express their views, criticisms, and suggestions for the progress of the Universitas Sumatera Utara, especially the Faculty of Social Sciences and Political Science.
Alumni Gathering is an event and a mirror of the successful collaboration between educational institutions, alums, and the world of work. The positive interactions at this event benefit the alums and enrich the relationship between academic institutions and companies, creating an environment supporting mutual growth and success.
